Description

The Pismarne is a glass pendant with a softly flattened globe of matt opal glass. It hangs on fine wires from a round satin nickel ceiling canopy, with a matching satin nickel collar where the wires meet the shade. It measures 44.5cm across and 110cm tall overall, so it gives a room real presence without feeling heavy. Inside, it takes two E27 bulbs of up to 60W each. The bulbs are not included, which leaves the choice of colour temperature and brightness yours. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for dry indoor rooms and never a bathroom or a garden.

We think it looks most at home hanging over a dining table. There the opal glass spreads the light into an even, gentle glow across the whole surface rather than a hard pool. It suits a kitchen island, a living room or a roomy hallway just as well. The white glass and satin nickel are neutral, so they sit easily with pale oak, grey upholstery or warmer, rustic pieces. Opal glass softens the bulbs behind it, which makes the pendant a kind choice for anyone who dislikes glare at the table.
