Description

The Picasso is a 44.5cm sculptural pendant light built from four overlapping ribbon-style metal bands wrapped around a central sage green column. The horizontal bands step outward as they descend, creating an open layered shade that lets light escape between each tier. A single E27 GLS filament bulb (sold separately) sits inside the column, giving warm directional light through the gaps and a softer wash across the painted surfaces.

Suited to dining tables, kitchen islands, hallways and stairwells, the Picasso works as a single feature pendant or hung in a row of two or three over a longer table. The 150cm cable allows the drop to be adjusted on installation, typically setting the shade 700-800mm above a dining surface or 600-900mm above a worktop. The fitting hangs from a standard UK ceiling rose and ceiling heights of 2.4m or above accommodate the 59cm overall height comfortably.

The sage green matt finish runs across all four ribbon bands and the central column, giving the fitting a single calm tone rather than a multi-colour scheme. The plastic construction keeps the overall weight low while holding the open tiered geometry in place. With a 44.5cm diameter and 59cm height, the Picasso reads as a small-to-medium pendant that fills space visually without dominating a 4-5m room. What bulb does the Picasso take?

The pendant takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb, with an E27 GLS filament bulb recommended to suit the open tiered design. The bulb is visible through the gaps between the ribbon bands when lit, so a decorative filament shape works better than a plain frosted globe. Bulbs are sold separately.

Can the drop be adjusted?

Yes. The 150cm cable can be shortened on installation by your electrician to set the shade at the right height for the room. Above a dining table, 700-800mm clearance from the table to the bottom of the shade works well; above a kitchen island, 600-900mm is typical.

What ceiling height is needed?

The Picasso is 59cm tall overall, so ceilings of 2.4m and above accommodate the full height comfortably with appropriate clearance below. Lower ceilings can still take the fitting if the cable is shortened, but the layered shade is best appreciated when there's room to view it from the sides.

Can it be hung in multiples?

Yes. The Picasso suits installation as a single pendant over a smaller table or in a row of two or three above a longer dining table or kitchen island. Each pendant requires its own ceiling outlet or a multi-outlet bar fitted by an electrician.
