Description

The Piagnolo is an LED floor lamp in a soft sand colour, built from steel and aluminium. A slim pole rises from a round, weighted base to a flat, disc-shaped head, and the lamp stands 168cm tall. The lamp measures 25cm in diameter and its base is 25cm across too, so it needs very little floor space. It gives out 2,000 lumens, a generous figure for a floor lamp, so it can do real work in a room rather than just add a glow. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.

Set beside a sofa or in the corner of a sitting room, the disc faces upward and washes the wall and ceiling with light, lifting the source well above the seating. That makes it a good answer for rooms where the ceiling light is too harsh, too dim or missing altogether. The slim footprint fits neatly between a sofa and a window, beside an armchair in a reading corner or at the end of a bed, and the sand colour sits quietly with warm neutrals, soft greens and pale wood floors. Because it is rated IP20, keep it away from bathrooms and anywhere outdoors.

The frame is steel and aluminium in a sand finish, and aluminium is light and resists corrosion. A small round touch dimmer sits partway up the pole, within easy reach as you stand beside the lamp. The light dims in three steps, and you choose between three colour temperatures at the lamp itself, so one lamp can give a crisper light for reading and a softer one later in the evening.
