Description

The Phosora is a 720mm bar pendant carrying three corten brown metal shades on fabric-wrapped cables, suspended from a walnut-finish wood rosette. Each dome shade houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately) with a white enamelled parabolic inner surface that reflects light downward and outward through the open base of the dome.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and galley kitchens where a linear lighting solution spreads task light across a long surface, the Phosora bar sits parallel to the worktop or table below. The 800mm drop from rosette to shade is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 700-900mm above the surface depending on ceiling height. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments, and the pendant is dimmable when paired with compatible E27 LED bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer.

The corten brown finish is a matt powder-coat over metal that mimics weathered steel, giving a warm industrial tone that pairs well with walnut, oak and dark wood interiors. The fabric-wrapped cables add texture and soften the industrial aesthetic compared to standard PVC flex. Each shade measures approximately 170mm in height and 180mm in diameter, creating a graduated scale across the bar — the three shades sit at slightly different drop heights to follow the natural drape of the fabric cables.

The pendant uses three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Ideal Lux recommend LED filament bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to complement the corten finish. Standard E27 LED bulbs up to 60W equivalent are suitable.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the pendant is dimmable when paired with dimmable E27 LED bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb model — check the bulb packaging before pairing.

What length table or island does it suit?

The 720mm rosette length suits tables or kitchen islands between 1400mm and 2000mm long. The three shades spread light across approximately 600mm of surface width when hung at typical dining table height.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The 800mm fabric cables allow the shades to be set at different heights during installation. The cables can be shortened by coiling excess flex inside the rosette, or extended by purchasing additional cable length from Ideal Lux stockists.
