Description

The Phosix Slim is a 6-light recessed LED downlight with an integrated 20W LED module emitting warm white 3000K light. Six individual reflectors sit within a white die-cast aluminium housing measuring 236mm long by 28mm projection depth, designed to recess flush into plasterboard or suspended ceilings. Each of the six light sources sits behind a black polycarbonate reflector that directs light downward while reducing glare.

Designed for commercial and residential settings where linear task lighting is needed, the Phosix Slim suits office desks, retail counters, kitchen worktops, corridors and display shelving where directional illumination is required without consuming ceiling height. The slim 28mm projection allows installation in shallow ceiling voids where traditional downlight housings cannot fit. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces only.

The die-cast aluminium construction provides structural rigidity and heat dissipation for the integrated LED, while the white finish allows the fitting to blend into white or light-coloured ceilings. The non-dimmable LED is rated for a minimum of 25,000 hours operation at 3000K, providing consistent warm white output throughout its service life. The 236mm length allows the fitting to cover a wider span than single-point downlights without needing multiple ceiling cut-outs.

Is the Phosix Slim dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and operates at full output when connected to mains power. If dimming is required, a different model is needed.

What ceiling void depth is required?

The fitting has a 28mm projection depth, making it suitable for shallow ceiling voids where traditional downlight housings cannot fit. A minimum 40mm void is recommended to allow clearance for wiring and heat dissipation above the fitting.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating limits the Phosix Slim to dry indoor environments only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens with steam exposure, or any space where moisture may be present. For bathroom use, an IP44 or IP65 rated fitting is required.

What colour temperature is the LED?

The integrated LED is fixed at 3000K, which sits in the warm white range. This colour temperature provides a neutral to slightly warm tone suitable for most residential and commercial settings.
