Description

The Phosix Slim is a 12-light LED recessed downlight strip in white die-cast aluminium, measuring 1220mm long and 122mm wide with a 28mm projection from ceiling level. Each of the twelve circular modules houses a fixed 10W LED producing 3000K warm white light through a black polycarbonate reflector, giving twelve discrete pools of light along the length of the fitting.

Designed for commercial corridors, retail display shelving, hospitality environments and residential kitchen islands or worktops where linear task lighting is needed, the Phosix Slim fits flush into the ceiling with minimal visual intrusion. The rectangular form allows the twelve light sources to be evenly distributed along a 1.2m run, providing consistent illumination without the need for individual recessed downlights and multiple ceiling cutouts. The fitting requires a ceiling void depth of at least 30mm to accommodate the LED driver and housing.

The die-cast aluminium construction provides heat dissipation for the LED array while keeping the overall weight manageable for ceiling installation. The white finish on the aluminium sits flush with white ceilings or provides a clean accent on darker surfaces. The black polycarbonate reflectors direct light downwards with minimal spill, making the fitting suitable for task lighting over counters or walkways where glare control matters. The integrated LEDs are rated IP20 for dry indoor locations and carry a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

Is the Phosix Slim dimmable?

No. The integrated LED driver does not support dimming. If dimmable linear recessed lighting is required, please contact us for alternative Ideal Lux models.

What ceiling void depth is needed?

A minimum ceiling void of 30mm is required to accommodate the LED driver and housing. The fitting projects 28mm below ceiling level once installed.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture or water spray is present.

How are the twelve lights wired?

All twelve LED modules are wired in series within the single fitting and connect to mains power via one driver unit housed within the recessed cavity. Installation requires a qualified electrician to ensure safe mains connection and correct ceiling cutout dimensions.
