Description

The Perris PF/47 is a globe outdoor ceiling light: a rounded shade of woven synthetic polyethylene fibre in brown, held close to the ceiling on a slim black stem and round canopy. The shade is 47cm across and 21cm tall, and the whole light is 34cm tall. Its integrated LED sits inside the shade, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and it gives 911 lumens from 17.1W at a warm 2700K. Light shows through the open weave and falls through the 34cm opening underneath, and with a CRI of 90 the colours of faces, food and planting look true.

We see it under a covered terrace, in a porch or on a veranda, or over the table on a covered patio, wherever you want a soft, warm light rather than a bright floodlight. It is rated IP54, so it is made for outdoor use, and at 34cm tall it suits ceilings where a long pendant would be in the way. The 47cm shade is generous enough to anchor a seating or dining area on its own, and it is TRIAC dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer you can bring it right down for late evenings outside.

It is made from stainless steel, aluminium and synthetic polyethylene fibre, with the fibre woven into the rounded brown shade and a black stem rising to a canopy 12cm across and 5cm deep. The open weave gives the shade a light, relaxed look that sits comfortably beside outdoor furniture in wood, metal or woven materials. The fitting runs on 230V mains power and is wired in by a qualified electrician. Before ordering, measure the clear height under your porch or terrace ceiling, because the light takes up 34cm of it, and allow room for the 47cm shade so it sits clear of beams and walls.
