Pearce 660mm Drum Pendant Light - Polished Chrome & Ivory Faux Silk Shade

The Pearce is a 660mm drum pendant light with an ivory faux silk shade suspended from a polished chrome ceiling canopy on three steel wires. The drum shade houses three E27 bulb fittings behind a gloss white acrylic diffuser at the base, distributing light evenly downwards and softly through the fabric sides. The shade is large enough to act as a primary light source over a dining table or kitchen island in rooms up to 18-20m².

Designed for dining rooms, open-plan kitchen-diners and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Pearce provides both ambient and task lighting. The 2000mm suspension wires are height-adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a table surface or higher in double-height spaces. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and conceals the cable run within the central wire.

The faux silk shade has a subtle vertical weave texture that diffuses light when the bulbs are on and appears as a clean ivory cylinder when off. The polished chrome canopy and matching finial at the base of the shade provide a reflective metallic accent that pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors. At 660mm diameter and 252mm height, the shade has substantial presence without overwhelming typical 3-4m dining tables, and the drum profile keeps the visual weight balanced rather than top-heavy.

What bulbs does the Pearce take?

The pendant takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 8-12W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living areas.

Can the height be adjusted after installation?

The pendant is height-adjustable on installation using the 2000mm suspension wires, but once fitted and the excess wire concealed in the ceiling canopy, changing the height requires partial re-installation. Set the drop during initial fitting to suit your ceiling height and table position.

What ceiling height is needed?

For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The 2000mm wire allows for taller spaces and double-height installations where a longer drop is needed.

How is the shade cleaned?

The faux silk shade can be dusted gently with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners that may stain or discolour the ivory material.
