Description

The Pearce is an 864mm diameter drum pendant light with an ivory faux silk shade suspended from an aged brass ceiling pan on three adjustable wires. The shade measures 272mm tall and houses a single E27 socket rated to 60W (bulb sold separately), with a gloss white acrylic diffuser at the base of the shade softening the downlight and preventing harsh shadows.

Designed for large dining tables, living room centres and open-plan kitchen-dining areas with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Pearce provides ambient light distributed evenly across a wide area. The 2000mm suspension wires are height-adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 600-800mm above a dining surface or higher in double-height spaces. The aged brass metalwork includes a 150mm ceiling pan and a central finial beneath the shade, both finished with a warm, slightly tarnished patina that pairs with traditional, transitional and warm-toned contemporary interiors.

The faux silk shade diffuses light through its ivory fabric, creating a warm ambient glow rather than directed task light. The 864mm diameter makes the Pearce one of the larger single-drum pendants on the market, suited to tables of 1.8-2.4m length or open spaces of 20-30m² where a smaller pendant would appear undersized. The aged brass finish shows deliberate tonal variation and darkened detailing to mimic naturally aged metalwork, giving the fitting a vintage-inspired appearance without the maintenance requirements of unlacquered brass.

The 864mm diameter suits dining tables of 1.8-2.4m length. For smaller tables under 1.6m the Pearce may appear oversized; for tables over 2.4m consider pairing two pendants or choosing a multi-light linear suspension.

Is the shade cleanable?

The faux silk shade can be dusted with a soft microfibre cloth or carefully vacuumed with a brush attachment on low suction. Avoid water or chemical cleaners on the fabric as they may leave marks or alter the colour.
