Description

The Pearce is an 864mm diameter drum pendant light with a cylindrical ivory faux-silk shade, a polished chrome ceiling pan and finial, and a white acrylic diffuser disc seated inside the base of the shade. The pendant accepts a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately), with the fabric shade and acrylic diffuser working together to spread light evenly downwards and reduce glare.

Designed for large open-plan living areas, dining rooms and kitchen-diners with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Pearce provides both ambient and decorative presence. The 2000mm suspension wire is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 600-1000mm above a dining table or kitchen island depending on ceiling height. The polished chrome pan fits standard UK ceiling roses and the wire runs through the fabric shade to the chrome finial at the base.

The faux-silk shade measures 272mm in height and 864mm in diameter, giving the pendant a broad horizontal footprint that suits rectangular dining tables of 180-240cm length or kitchen islands of similar scale. The ivory fabric diffuses warm-toned light (best paired with 2700K-3000K E27 LED bulbs) while the white acrylic diffuser at the base prevents direct view of the bulb from below. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light and pairs with both contemporary and transitional interiors.

The Pearce takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 8-12W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or living room light.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2000mm suspension wire is adjustable on installation. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Pearce if the wire is shortened during fitting.

Is the shade washable?

The faux-silk ivory shade should be dusted regularly with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. If more thorough cleaning is needed, the shade can be wiped gently with a barely-damp cloth, but avoid soaking the fabric or using household sprays.

What table size does the 864mm diameter suit?

The 864mm (34 inch) diameter works best over rectangular dining tables of 180-240cm length or kitchen islands of similar scale. For smaller tables the pendant may visually overpower the space; for much larger tables consider pairing two Pearce pendants along the table length.
