Description

The Pearce is a 559mm diameter drum pendant light with an ivory faux silk shade suspended from aged brass hardware on three adjustable wires. A white acrylic diffuser sits beneath the shade to spread light evenly downward, while the fabric shade softens the light passing sideways through the drum. The fitting takes three E27 bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose warm-white LEDs or traditional filament bulbs depending on the room.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Pearce works as a centrepiece over a table or as ambient lighting in the centre of a seating area. The 2000mm suspension wires are cut to length during installation, allowing the pendant to hang 600-800mm above a dining table or 2000-2200mm above floor level in an entrance hall. The aged brass canopy and finial bring warmth to traditional and transitional interiors without the high-polish glare of polished brass.

The ivory shade is constructed from faux silk fabric stretched over a rigid metal frame, giving a consistent finish without the wrinkles or fading of natural silk. The 242mm shade depth provides enough vertical scale to balance the 559mm width, preventing the drum from appearing flat when viewed from an angle. The aged brass finish shows a muted gold tone with darker patina in recessed areas, creating a vintage-inspired look that sits comfortably in both period-style and modern warm-toned interiors.

What bulbs does the Pearce take?

The fitting takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living spaces.

How low can the pendant hang?

The minimum drop from ceiling to the base of the shade is 242mm when the suspension wires are at their shortest. The wires can be extended up to 2000mm during installation, allowing the pendant to hang at the height that suits your ceiling and table arrangement.

Is the shade cleanable?

The faux silk shade can be dusted with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric. Do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on the shade.

What ceiling height is recommended?

For use above a dining table, ceiling heights of 2.6m or above work best, allowing the pendant to hang 700-800mm above the table surface. In entrance halls or living rooms where the pendant hangs freely, ceiling heights of 2.8m or above prevent the shade from sitting too low in the sightline.
