Description

The Pearce is a 559mm diameter drum pendant with an ivory faux silk shade suspended from a polished chrome canopy on adjustable wire suspension. A gloss white acrylic diffuser sits beneath the shade opening, directing light downward while preventing glare from exposed bulbs. The fitting takes three E27 bulbs (sold separately), each rated up to 60W, providing overhead illumination for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the 2000mm suspension wires allow the pendant to be set anywhere from 242mm below ceiling level (flush with the shade height) to the full 2-metre drop. Most installations position the shade 700-900mm above a dining table or kitchen island, leaving approximately 1.8-2m of clearance below for standing headroom. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and conceals the wire runs and electrical connections.

The ivory faux silk shade diffuses light evenly across the 559mm diameter, softening the output from standard LED or filament bulbs. The acrylic diffuser at the base prevents hot spots and balances the light distribution in all directions. At 559mm wide and 242mm tall, the shade occupies enough visual volume to anchor a 1.6-2m dining table or kitchen island without overwhelming the room. Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The suspension wires are adjusted during installation by trimming to the desired length and securing within the ceiling canopy. Once fitted, the height is fixed unless the fitting is removed and the wires re-cut.

Is the shade removable for cleaning?

Yes. The shade detaches from the supporting frame for cleaning. The faux silk fabric can be wiped gently with a dry, soft cloth or vacuumed on low power with a brush attachment. Avoid water and cleaning sprays on the fabric.
