Pearce 18" Drum Pendant Light - Aged Brass with Ivory Shade

The Pearce is a 457mm (18") drum pendant light with an ivory faux silk shade suspended from an aged brass ceiling canopy and finial. The shade houses three E27 bulb fittings behind a gloss white acrylic diffuser at the base, which spreads light evenly downward and outward through the translucent fabric. The aged brass metalwork shows a warm, slightly tarnished finish that contrasts with the clean ivory shade fabric.

Designed for dining tables, bedroom centrepieces and living room focal points in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Pearce provides both ambient and decorative function. The 2000mm suspension wire is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 600-900mm above a dining table or lower for a reading corner depending on ceiling height and use. The three-bulb configuration provides enough output for task and ambient lighting combined when fitted with mid-wattage LED bulbs.

The faux silk shade presents a vertical ribbed texture that catches and diffuses light when the pendant is lit, creating a soft glow rather than hard shadows. The aged brass finish on the canopy and finial coordinates with warm-toned interiors, antique furniture and traditional or transitional styling. The 232mm shade height gives the pendant enough visual presence to anchor a dining table or seating area without overwhelming smaller rooms.

How many bulbs does it take and what type?

The Pearce takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm white LED bulbs between 6-10W each and 2700K-3000K for a comfortable dining or living room light.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2000mm wire allows adjustment on installation. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The minimum drop of 232mm suits lower ceilings if the wire is shortened during fitting.

Can the shade be cleaned?

The faux silk fabric can be dusted with a soft brush or vacuumed gently using an upholstery attachment. For marks, spot-clean with a barely-damp cloth and mild soap, then blot dry immediately to avoid water staining the fabric.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you fit. Standard dimmable E27 LED bulbs will work with most trailing-edge dimmers. Check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before pairing with a dimmer switch.
