The Pavessa is a single fabric pendant light with a black and brown finish: a cylindrical shade in a soft cappuccino fabric, gold on the inside, topped by a band of pale wood and hung from a black steel canopy and cord. The whole light measures 110cm in overall height, and the shade is 16cm in diameter, a neat, slim size that keeps it from crowding a room. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, so you are free to pick the warmth of light you prefer. It is rated IP20, which settles the question of where it belongs: indoors, in the everyday rooms of the house.

We would hang it over a dining table, beside a bed in place of a lamp, or above a hallway or landing where a full-sized shade would feel too much.
