Description

The Parwaha is a bistro chair bent up from iron rod. The back is a tall hoop that narrows to a small loop at the top, with a large oval panel of fine mesh set inside it, and the seat is a round mesh panel held in a rolled rim. The legs splay out from under the seat and finish in flat disc feet. The surface is distressed, worn back lighter along the outside of every curve, so the rust tone runs uneven over the frame and the mesh reads paler than the rod that holds it.

The chair stands 99cm to the top of the hoop, 45cm across and 53cm deep, with the seat at 49cm, so it is tall-backed for a chair of its footprint. Both the back panel and the seat are perforated mesh rather than solid. It is made for outdoor use. At 10.8kg it is heavy enough to stay where it is put in a breeze.

The chair is iron, under a powder coating. The Parwaha range also holds a marble-topped bistro table meant to go with it, along with a marble dining table and a marble coffee table.

Frequently Asked

How high is the seat?

49cm, and the chair stands 99cm to the top of the back.

Can it be left outside?

It is made for outdoor use. Store it away or indoors over the winter months and through spells of bad weather, which is what prolongs its life.

What is it made from?

Iron, with a powder coating.

Is there a table to go with it?

Yes. The Parwaha range holds a marble-topped bistro table made to pair with it.

How do I look after it?

Wipe it clean regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaning products, which will damage the finish.
