Description

A round dining table with a marble top 120cm across, carried on a base of curved iron. The marble is off white and lightly veined in grey, with a matt face rather than a polished one. The base has three legs that splay out to small pad feet, draw back in through a flat ring collar set about a third of the way up, and open out again to meet the underside of the top. A flat bar stretcher joins the three legs close to the floor. The iron is finished in a warm brass tone.

At 120cm across the table seats four, and being round it has no head and no corner to sit beside. It stands 78cm tall. The base is a pedestal rather than four corner legs, so a chair goes in anywhere round the edge. At 62.5kg it is not a table to carry between the garden and the house on a whim.

The top is marble and the base is iron. Marble is porous, so a spill left standing on it will mark the top, and this is a table that lives outdoors. Every top is cut from a different block, so the veining and the depth of the off white differ from table to table.
