Description

The Parogno is a fabric pendant light with a three-tier shade: three cream fabric drums, each one narrower than the last, stepping down from a black steel ceiling canopy on a slim black cord. It measures 110cm tall overall and 50cm in diameter at its widest, so it fills the space over a table or the middle of a room without crowding it. The fabric has a soft, visible weave and reads as a warm off-white rather than a stark white. It takes an E27 bulb, which is not included, so you choose the colour and brightness of the light yourself. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

Hung over a round dining table, the layered fabric softens the glow of the bulb and gives a warm, diffused light over the table. It suits a dining room, a living room or a bedroom equally well, wherever you want a soft light in place of a bare bulb. Three tiers give the shade more depth than a single drum, so the room gains a focal point even in daylight. The black canopy and cord keep the lines crisp against a pale ceiling, while the cream shade sits comfortably with natural wood and warm neutral schemes. As an IP20 fitting it stays out of bathrooms and away from water.

There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, so it works from your existing light switch. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and is a wired-in fitting, so it should be installed by a qualified electrician. The packed weight is 1.95KG. Before you order, measure your ceiling height: the 110cm overall height decides how low the lowest tier will hang over your table. The installation instructions come as a download, so your electrician can read them beforehand.
