Description

The Paola is a 3-light chandelier with a gold-painted metal frame, three black fabric shades and amber crystal droplets suspended from each arm. The curved arms rise from a central column in a symmetrical arrangement, each terminating in an E14 bulb fitting beneath a conical black shade. The gold-painted finish contrasts with the matt black fabric, while the amber crystal droplets catch light from the bulbs above.

Designed for dining rooms, hallways and bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Paola provides directed downlight through the shades while allowing ambient light to escape from the open top of each shade and reflect off the gold frame. The adjustable drop of 600-1600mm allows the chandelier to be set at the appropriate height above a dining table (typically 700-800mm) or lower in a double-height space. The 550mm diameter suits tables 1200-1600mm long or hallways 1.2m wide or wider.

The gold-painted frame uses a warm-toned metallic finish rather than polished brass, giving a softer reflection that pairs with both traditional and contemporary interiors. The black shades are lined fabric rather than card, providing even light distribution and heat tolerance. What bulbs does it take?

The Paola takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. We suggest pairing this with 4-6W warm white LED candle bulbs at 2700K for dining and living spaces. The fixture is dimmable when fitted with dimmable E14 bulbs and paired with a compatible dimmer switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 600mm plus the 550mm diameter fixture body requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m to avoid the chandelier sitting too low. For dining tables the chandelier typically hangs 700-800mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with 2.4-2.7m ceiling heights when the chain is adjusted during installation.

Are the shades removable for cleaning?

Yes. The black fabric shades clip onto the bulb fittings and can be removed for dusting or spot-cleaning. Wipe gently with a dry or barely-damp microfibre cloth. The gold-painted frame can be wiped with a soft dry cloth to remove dust.

What do the amber crystal droplets do?

The three amber crystal droplets beneath each arm catch and refract light from the bulbs, adding a decorative accent and a small amount of sparkle without the visual density of a full crystal chandelier. They are a design detail rather than a primary light source.
