Description

The Paola is a 55cm diameter 3-light chandelier with three curved gold-painted arms extending from a central column, each holding a cream fabric shade and terminating in a crystal droplet accent. The chandelier takes three E14 bulbs (sold separately) behind the cream shades, which diffuse the light evenly across a room without glare.

Designed for dining rooms, bedrooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Paola suits small to medium dining tables (up to 1.4m length) and bedside or dressing areas where ambient rather than task light is needed. The adjustable drop from 600mm to 1600mm allows the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining surface or centred in a bedroom at mid-ceiling height.

The gold finish is a painted rather than plated surface, giving a warmer, less reflective tone than polished brass. The three cream shades are fabric stretched over metal frames, providing a soft edge to the light and preventing harsh shadows. The crystal droplets beneath each arm catch ambient daylight and artificial light, adding visual interest without the scale or cost of a full crystal chandelier. At 2.1kg the fitting is light enough for standard UK ceiling roses without additional support.

The Paola takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs, also called candelabra or SES bulbs. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K for ambient dining or bedroom light.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and have a compatible dimmer switch installed. The chandelier itself does not restrict dimming — the compatibility depends on the bulb type and the dimmer model.

What dining table size does it suit?

The 550mm diameter works over dining tables up to 1.4m long. For larger tables a wider chandelier or multiple pendants give better light coverage and visual balance.

How is the drop adjusted?

The chain length can be shortened during installation by removing links or looping excess chain inside the ceiling canopy. The minimum functional drop is 600mm and the maximum supplied is 1600mm.
