Palla Recycled Glass Table Lamp Base - Rustic Smoke

The Palla is a lamp base mouth blown from recycled glass into a teardrop: a full rounded body narrowing to a short neck. The glass is matt rather than clear, pale and creamy at the shoulder and darkening down the body into a smoky grey brown, with darker specks scattered through the lower half. A brass collar and a black lampholder sit on the neck. It is 39cm tall and 18cm across.

This is a base only: no shade and no bulb. At 39cm tall on an 18cm body it is a mid sized base that works on a console, a side table or a chest of drawers. It takes one E27 bulb, the cord runs 2.5m, the plug is UK and EU, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.

The glass is waste glass, collected and washed, then crushed, melted and mouth blown into shape, with the smoke brown finish applied afterwards. Because each one is blown singly, the depth of the smoke and the scatter of the specks differ from base to base. Neither a shade nor a bulb is included.

Does it come with a shade?

No. It is the base only, with a brass collar and a black lampholder on top. Supplied without a shade.

What wattage bulb can it take?

It takes an E27 bulb. Fit no more than the maximum wattage marked on the lampholder.

Can you see through the glass?

No. It is matt and dense, pale at the shoulder and darkening into a smoky grey brown down the body, with darker specks through the lower half.

What is the glass made from?

Waste glass. It is collected and washed to take the impurities out, then crushed, melted and mouth blown into shape. The smoke brown finish goes on after that.

How do I clean it?

Take any shade off and unplug it, then wipe the glass with a soft dry microfibre cloth, working in circles. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners off it.
