Description

This pack contains 10 white polycarbonate silicone glue caps designed to seal the cut ends of LED strip lights after installation. Each cap pushes onto the end of a trimmed LED strip section, enclosing the exposed copper contacts and preventing moisture, dust and accidental contact with live connections. A pre-filled silicone compound inside each cap bonds to the strip backing when pushed into place, forming a waterproof seal.

Used primarily in LED strip installations where the strip has been cut to length and the unused tail end needs terminating, or where a strip run ends mid-installation without connecting to a controller or power supply. Common applications include under-cabinet kitchen lighting, cove lighting in bathrooms, and retail display lighting where strip runs terminate at cabinet edges or partition walls. The caps also protect technicians during maintenance by isolating any powered-but-unused strip sections.

Each cap measures approximately 15mm in length and fits standard 10mm-width LED strip. The white polycarbonate shell blends with white backing tape on most LED strips, reducing visual prominence of the termination point. The silicone compound remains pliable after curing, allowing the cap to be removed and repositioned if needed during the first few minutes after application, but sets firmly enough to resist accidental removal once cured.

What width LED strip do these caps fit?

These caps are designed for standard 10mm-width LED strip. They may not fit securely on narrower 8mm strip or wider 12mm strip variants.

Are they waterproof?

The silicone compound inside each cap forms a moisture-resistant seal when pushed onto the strip end. They provide basic splash protection suitable for kitchen under-cabinet installations, but are not rated for full submersion or outdoor exposed installations without additional IP-rated housing.

Can the caps be reused?

No. The silicone compound bonds to the strip backing on first application. Once removed, the cap no longer contains enough silicone to form a reliable seal on a second strip section.

Do they need to be fitted while the strip is powered off?

Yes. Always isolate power to the LED strip before cutting or fitting end caps to avoid short-circuit risk and electric shock.
