Description

The Overlay F Cognac is a tall floor lamp with a tiered shade. Layered conical tiers sit one above another over a cognac glass bowl, carried on a slim stem that rises from a round disc base. It stands 170cm tall. The shade is 50cm across and 24.2cm tall, and the base is 35cm across. We offer it in two finishes, Beige & Copper or Yellow & Grey & Beige, so you can choose the colours that suit your room. The light comes from a single E27 bulb set within the shade.

This is a lamp for the living room. Stand it beside a sofa, behind a reading chair or in a corner the ceiling light does not reach, and the tiered shade becomes a focal point whether it is lit or not. It runs on mains power. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, which suits a living room well. It is not dimmable, so it gives one level of light. For a gentler evening glow, choose a lower-wattage bulb within its 13W maximum. The slim stem takes up very little floor space, so the 35cm base is the footprint to plan around.

The design is by e27, Tim Brauns, and it rests on the outline: separate conical tiers stacked over the glass bowl, each a little narrower than the one above, on a stem fine enough to keep the eye on the shade. One thing is sold separately: an E27 bulb of up to 13W, which is not included. Have one ready when the lamp arrives, fit it within the shade, and it is ready to light the room.
