Oval Bronze Tinted Frameless Wall Mirror 106cm

Oval Bronze M is a bronze tinted oval, 90cm wide and 106cm tall, with no frame at all. The tint runs evenly across the whole face and the edge is bare polished glass, so the shape is the only outline the piece has.

A bronze mirror returns a warmer and slightly darker reflection than clear glass, which is why it sits well in a room with wood and brass in it and less well in a cool white one. The oval softens a wall of rectangles: over a chest of drawers, in a hallway of square doorways, or above a basin where a round mirror would be too small and a rectangle too hard. It is rated bathroom proof. At 8kg and 2cm deep it is a comfortable one person hang, and it goes up one way round on the two screws, washers and plugs supplied.

Our supplier records the glass colour as gold in its own data while its composition calls the glass bronze. We publish the field as it stands, which is what we do on the 160cm version of the same mirror and on the Lucka bronze full lengths, and the tag follows the composition. Clean it with cleaner sprayed onto a cloth rather than at the glass. A tinted frameless mirror shows finger marks at the edge more than a framed one does, because there is no rebate for them to hide in, so handle it by the face when you hang it. Because there is no frame, the fixings sit against the glass rather than through a surround, so the two supplied plugs want to go into something that will hold rather than into plasterboard on its own.
