Description
The Knightsbridge KIT4B is a 45mm diameter recessed deck light with four integrated blue LEDs set behind a clear lens in a brushed stainless steel housing. Rated IP44 for outdoor use, the fitting is designed for installation into timber decking, paving, patios and garden paths where subtle marker or accent lighting is needed without glare.
The fitting recesses 30mm into the substrate and requires a 38mm cut-out diameter, with a 45mm minimum void beneath for cable termination. The blue LED colour makes the light useful for marking step edges, deck perimeters, and pathway boundaries at night without flooding the area with white light. The stainless steel face sits flush with the walking surface once installed, presenting minimal trip hazard.
The 304 stainless steel construction resists corrosion in coastal and damp environments, and the brushed finish reduces fingerprint marks and surface glare. The integrated LEDs run on 230V mains power with Class II double-insulated construction, meaning no earth connection is required during installation. The fitting is not dimmable and the blue LEDs are fixed — they cannot be swapped for other colours.

Frequently Asked
What IP rating does this carry?
IP44, meaning it is protected against solid objects over 1mm and water splashing from any direction. Suitable for outdoor decking, patios and garden paths exposed to rain, but not for submersion or high-pressure hosing.
Can the blue LEDs be changed to white or another colour?
No. The LEDs are integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced or swapped. The blue colour is fixed.
What substrate depth is needed for installation?
A 30mm recess depth is needed, plus a 45mm minimum void beneath the substrate for cable termination and the rear of the fitting. Total substrate thickness should be at least 75mm.
Is this suitable for driveways with vehicle traffic?
No. The KIT4B is rated for pedestrian traffic on decking and paving. For driveways and areas with vehicle loads, choose a walk-over or drive-over rated fitting with higher load certification.
