Description

A set of four tumblers, each 10cm tall and 9cm across, hand blown from recycled glass. The shape is rounded rather than straight: the wall draws in at the base, swells to its widest point about two thirds of the way up and turns in very slightly at the plain rim. Vertical ribs run the height of the body and stop short of that rim. There is no stem and no foot, so the glass sits straight on the table.

At 10cm and 400ml these are everyday tumblers: water, juice or a short drink. Four are supplied. The range runs to a highball, a wine glass, a champagne glass and a jug in the same ribbed recycled glass. They are dishwasher safe and food safe.

Each tumbler is hand blown from recycled glass. The ribs are formed by the mould at the moment of blowing, so they run through the thickness of the wall instead of being cut into the face of it afterwards. Because every glass is blown by hand, the ribs and the line of the rim differ a little from one to the next.

Yes. They are dishwasher safe and food safe.

Is the glass recycled?

Yes. Waste glass is gathered and cleaned of impurities, then crushed and melted down before it is blown into shape.
