Description
The Oslo is a galvanised steel lamp post with two E27 bulb fittings housed in clear polycarbonate shades, mounted on curved arms extending from a central column. The column is adjustable between 1700mm and 2380mm at installation, allowing the lamp post to be set to suit different path widths, gate heights, or ground levels. The galvanised silver finish provides corrosion resistance in outdoor environments including coastal locations.
Designed for driveways, front gardens, pathways and boundary lighting, the Oslo provides bi-directional light coverage with a 780mm span between the two lamp heads. The IP55 rating protects the internal wiring and lamp holders against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for fully exposed positions without shelter. Each E27 socket accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or filament bulbs depending on the required light output and colour temperature.
The polycarbonate shades resist impact damage and UV yellowing better than glass or acrylic alternatives, while the clear finish allows full light transmission without diffusion. The galvanised steel construction carries an 8-year guarantee with no coastal exclusion, reflecting the material's performance in salt-air environments. The column bolts to a ground-level base plate (fixings not included) and the height adjustment is set during installation before final tightening.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Oslo take?
Each of the two lamp heads takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for pathway and driveway lighting.
Is the height adjustable after installation?
The height is adjustable between 1700mm and 2380mm during installation, before the column is fully tightened. Once installed and the fixings are secured, the height should not be adjusted without dismounting the lamp post.
Can it be used in coastal areas?
Yes. The galvanised steel construction and 8-year guarantee carry no coastal exclusion, making the Oslo suitable for salt-air environments. The IP55 rating protects against water ingress from any direction.
How is the Oslo fixed to the ground?
The lamp post bolts to a ground-level circular base plate at the foot of the column. Fixings are not included and must be selected based on the ground surface (concrete, paving slabs, decking). The base plate diameter and fixing hole positions are visible on the underside of the column.
