Description

The Osier is a flush ceiling light with a ceramic shade in a Marbled glaze, soft swirls of white and grey running all the way around a simple cylinder. The shade is open at the base, so its light falls downwards into the room, and it sits on a short brass holder fixed to a round brass ceiling plate. The whole fitting is 19.5cm tall and 12cm across, compact enough to sit close to the ceiling. It takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W per bulb, and bulbs are sold separately, so you can choose the bulb that suits the room.

We offer the metalwork in Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black, Polished Copper or Satin Brass, and every one carries the same Marbled glaze; the Matt Black is painted in RAL 9005. That gives you an easy way to match the light to the handles, switches and other metal in the room. It suits a hallway well, where a flush fitting keeps the headroom clear and puts a pool of light where you come in. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

Each Osier is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass and ceramic: a ceramic shade in the Marbled glaze, held in brass metalwork in the finish you choose. It is a mains fitting, so it needs to be wired in by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered. As a practical note, settle on your finish before you order, since each light is made for you, and have an E27 bulb of up to 40W ready for when your electrician fits it.
