Description

The Ormelo is a flush ceiling light with a wide, shallow shade of ribbed clear glass, held close to the ceiling by a brass fitting and a round ceiling plate. Fine ribs run from the top of the shade to its rim, so the glass catches the light from its single bulb and sparkles when it is switched on. It is 13cm tall and 30cm across, which keeps it neat on a lower ceiling while still giving the room a generous shade. It comes in a choice of finishes: Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Polished Chrome, Polished Copper and Satin Brass, so you can match it to the handles, switches and other fittings in your home.

It suits a hallway particularly well: a fitting that sits close to the ceiling keeps the space feeling open, and the ribbed glass looks good from every angle as you walk beneath it. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W per bulb. Because the glass is clear, the bulb stays on view, so choose one you are happy to see. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician.
