Description

The Origami is an 80cm three-bar LED pendant light with adjustable aluminium bars finished in matt black, each housing integrated LEDs totalling 46W at a neutral 4000K colour temperature. The three horizontal bars can be rotated and repositioned along the central suspension cable, allowing the configuration to be expanded into a wide 80cm span or compacted into a tighter, layered arrangement depending on the light spread needed.

Designed for dining areas, kitchen islands and desk zones in open-plan layouts where task lighting is needed across a linear surface, the Origami provides neutral white light that suits workspaces, kitchens and contemporary living areas. The adjustable bars mean the fitting can be configured on installation to match the width of a table or worktop, then reconfigured later without rewiring if the room layout changes. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only.

Each bar is constructed from extruded aluminium with a powder-coated matt black finish that absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping visual focus on the illuminated surfaces below rather than the fitting itself. The three bars are connected by thin current-conducting wires that run through the central suspension cable to a circular ceiling canopy, giving the appearance of bars floating independently when viewed from most angles. The 4000K colour temperature falls between warm white and cool white, providing clarity for reading and food preparation without the clinical tone of higher Kelvin ratings.

The adjustable configuration also means the Origami can be used in rooms with asymmetric furniture layouts or positioned off-centre over a worktop where a standard centred pendant would miss the functional zone. The 18.7cm drop from canopy to the lowest bar is relatively compact, suiting ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards without dominating the vertical space.

Can the bars be repositioned after installation?

Yes. The three aluminium bars can be rotated and repositioned along the suspension cable to adjust the configuration. This can be done during fitting or later if the room layout changes, though it requires access to the pendant light mechanism.

Is the light dimmable?

No. The integrated 46W LED operates at a fixed output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The 4000K colour temperature is also fixed and cannot be adjusted.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 18.7cm drop from ceiling canopy to the lowest bar is relatively compact. The fitting suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, and works particularly well in rooms with 2.6-3m ceilings where a longer drop pendant would feel intrusive.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only. The fitting is not suitable for bathrooms, utility rooms or any space where moisture is present.
