Description

The Organica is a 3-light bar pendant with three spherical shades suspended from a 1210mm polished chrome canopy. Each 270mm-diameter globe is moulded from gloss white polymer with cutouts that mimic porous coral structures, allowing light to escape through the pattern while the white material diffuses the remainder. The three globes hang at equal heights on clear cables, creating a linear installation suited to kitchen islands, dining tables and countertops.

Designed for horizontal installations above rectangular surfaces, the 1210mm span covers a typical 1500-1800mm dining table or a 2000mm+ kitchen island when positioned centrally. Each globe takes a standard E27 bulb (sold separately), and the drop is adjustable between 300mm and 1500mm during installation to suit ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The fitting ships with the three pendants pre-wired to a single canopy, so installation requires a single ceiling rose connection rather than three separate circuits.

The coral-inspired cutout pattern casts shadows onto nearby walls and ceilings when the bulbs are lit, turning functional task lighting into ambient texture. The gloss white finish on the polymer shades reflects more light than a matt surface, giving brighter output from the same wattage bulb. The polished chrome canopy and cable suspension fittings provide a metallic accent that pairs with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps and contemporary hardware. At 4.3kg total weight, the fitting requires a secure ceiling fixing capable of supporting the combined load.

The 4.3kg weight calls for fixing into a joist or a secure cross-batten rather than plasterboard alone, ensuring the three globes and canopy stay firmly supported over the years.

What bulbs does the Organica take?

Each of the three globes takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. We suggest pairing this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining or kitchen island lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable bulbs and connect the pendant to a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself has no built-in dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen and the dimmer model fitted to the circuit.

What span does it cover on a kitchen island or dining table?

The 1210mm canopy length suits rectangular surfaces from 1500mm to 2200mm in length. For a standard 1500-1800mm dining table, position the canopy centrally above the table. For longer kitchen islands above 2500mm, consider pairing two Organica pendants or supplementing with additional lighting.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by cutting the cable to length and terminating it at the chosen height between 300mm and 1500mm. Once installed, the drop cannot be easily adjusted without re-terminating the cables.
