Description

The Orbix is a 45cm LED bathroom mirror light built from powder-coated aluminium with a white finish and a transparent satin acrylic diffuser. An integrated 12W LED provides 3000K warm-white light directed downwards, making it suited for mirror placement in bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms. The IP54 rating protects against water splashes, allowing installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3.

Designed for grooming and makeup application, the light mounts directly above a mirror or cabinet, projecting 40mm from the wall. The satin acrylic diffuser spreads the LED output evenly across the mirror surface without harsh spotting or glare. The 45cm length suits single-basin mirrors typically 60-80cm wide, providing balanced coverage without overhang.

The powder-coated aluminium body resists moisture and maintains its white finish in humid bathroom conditions. What bathroom zones is the Orbix suitable for?

The IP54 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, which covers most mirror positions above basins. It is not rated for use in zone 0 (inside the bath or shower enclosure) or zone 1 (directly above the bath or shower to a height of 2.25m).

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not designed to be replaced by the user. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation, which equates to around 10-15 years of typical daily use in a domestic bathroom.

What mirror width does the 45cm length suit?

The 45cm length pairs well with single-basin mirrors between 60-80cm wide, providing balanced coverage without the light extending beyond the mirror edges. For wider mirrors, consider the longer versions of the Orbix available in 60cm and 90cm.

Can it be installed horizontally and vertically?

The Orbix is designed for horizontal installation above a mirror. Vertical installation is not recommended as the light direction and mounting plate are optimised for horizontal use.
