Description

The Orbix is a 90cm LED bathroom mirror light with an integrated 27W 3000K LED housed in a white powder-coated aluminium body, rated IP54 for protection against splashing water. A transparent satin acrylic diffuser runs the length of the fitting, softening the LED output and spreading light evenly across wider mirrors or double vanity installations without visible hotspots.

Designed for installation above mirrors in bathrooms with multiple sinks or mirrors wider than 60cm, the 900mm length provides balanced illumination across the full width of the reflective surface. The fitting projects just 40mm from the wall, keeping a low profile that works in bathrooms with limited space above the mirror. The downward-directed light ensures vanity surfaces, sinks and countertops receive direct illumination without glare bouncing back from the mirror.

The IP54 rating allows safe installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure but within the bathroom environment where splashing may occur). The white powder-coated aluminium finish pairs with white sanitary ware and contemporary bathroom fittings, whilst the 3000K warm white LED output matches the colour temperature of most residential bathroom lighting for consistent tonal appearance. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but carries a 5-year warranty and offers typical lifespans of 25,000+ hours under normal bathroom use.

Is this suitable for use in bathroom zones?

Yes. The IP54 rating makes the Orbix safe for installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, which covers areas outside the shower enclosure where splashing may occur. It is not rated for use inside shower enclosures or directly above baths (zone 1).

Can the Orbix be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED is not dimmable and must run at full 27W output when switched on.

What width mirror does this suit?

The 90cm length works best above mirrors between 70cm and 100cm wide, providing balanced light distribution across the full reflective surface. For narrower mirrors consider the shorter versions of the Orbix range available at Niori.

How is the fitting installed?

The Orbix mounts directly to the wall via a rear bracket and requires connection to mains 230V wiring. The 40mm projection from the wall means it sits close to the mirror surface without needing significant clearance above. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with UK wiring regulations.
