Description

The Ora is a 2-light wall fitting moulded from high-impact ABS plastic in a curved asymmetric form, finished in a deep purple automotive-grade gloss lacquer with polished chrome trim details. Two cylindrical opal diffusers sit at either end of the curved body, each housing an E27 fitting. The wall mount plate is polished chrome and secures the fitting 200mm from the wall.

Designed for bedrooms, lounges and hallways where sculptural colour is wanted without committing to painted walls, the Ora delivers functional up-and-down lighting through the opal diffusers while the gloss purple body acts as a decorative focal point. The 500mm height suits wall positions 1.5-1.8m from the floor, providing ambient wash light in living spaces or bedside lighting when fitted above nightstands. The E27 fittings accept dimmable LED bulbs (sold separately), allowing output to be adjusted via a compatible dimmer switch.

The ABS construction keeps the weight at 1kg, making installation straightforward on plasterboard and solid walls without additional support brackets. The purple gloss finish is applied in multiple coats over a primer base, giving depth to the colour and resistance to fading under room light. The polished chrome details provide reflective contrast and tie the fitting into interiors with chrome hardware, mirrors or metallic accents elsewhere in the room.

Yes, provided you use dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The fitting itself does not contain dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen.

What wall clearance is needed?

The fitting projects 200mm from the wall. Allow at least 250mm clearance from adjacent furniture, doorframes or wall edges to avoid the diffusers being blocked or knocked when the door is opened.

Can it be fitted in a bathroom?

The Ora carries no IP rating and is not designed for bathroom zones where moisture or direct water contact may occur. It is suitable for dry indoor locations only.
