Description

The Ora is a 2-light wall light built from injection-moulded ABS with a deep gloss black lacquer finish, twin opal glass diffusers, and polished chrome accents. The curved black frame extends 500mm vertically and projects 200mm from the wall, housing two E27 sockets behind opal glass cylinders at the top and bottom ends of the curve.

Designed for living rooms, hallways, dining areas and bedrooms where wall space permits a vertical fitting, the Ora works as uplighter-downlighter when positioned at mid-wall height, or as an accent light when mounted higher. The 200mm projection clears most skirting boards and provides sufficient space for the opal glass to diffuse light without harsh shadows. The gloss black finish reflects surrounding colours and light, giving the fitting more visual presence than a matt surface would.

The ABS body is moulded as a single continuous curve with no visible seams, which keeps the profile clean and reduces dust accumulation compared to multi-piece fittings. The chrome plate on the wall mount and trim rings around the opal glass provides contrast against the black. Both E27 sockets accept bulbs up to 15W each (sold separately), and dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb type chosen — LED bulbs marked as dimmable will work with standard trailing-edge dimmers.

What bulbs does it take?

The Ora takes two standard E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 15W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K for living areas and hallways.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. LED bulbs marked as dimmable will work with standard trailing-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker.

How far does it stick out from the wall?

The fitting projects 200mm from the wall surface. This clears most skirting boards and allows the opal diffusers to cast light up and down without obstruction.

Can it be mounted horizontally?

The Ora is designed for vertical mounting with the curve running top to bottom. Horizontal mounting would place the sockets at awkward angles and is not recommended by the manufacturer.
