The Onida is a clip-on lampshade in black fabric with a scalloped edge trim, measuring 70mm at the top rim, 130mm at the bottom, and 120mm in height. The shade clips directly onto the bulb holder of candle-style bulbs (typically E14 or SES fittings) without needing a separate shade carrier, making it suitable for retrofit onto existing chandelier arms, wall lights and table lamp fittings that use exposed candle bulbs.

Designed for decorative lighting where the shade itself becomes part of the visual composition, the Onida pairs with multi-arm chandeliers, crystal wall lights, and traditional candelabra-style table lamps. The black fabric provides contrast against metallic finishes (brass, chrome, antique silver) and against the warm glow of the bulb inside, creating defined silhouettes when the light is on. The scalloped edge adds a traditional detailing that softens the otherwise geometric bell shape.

The fabric outer is backed with a white lining that reflects light downwards and outwards while preventing the bulb from being visible through the material. How does the clip-on mechanism work?

Can it be used on chandelier arms?

Yes. At 100g per shade the Onida is light enough to sit on horizontal chandelier arms without causing the arm to droop or the bulb fitting to tilt. It is commonly used on 5-light, 8-light and larger crystal or traditional metal chandeliers.

Is the fabric washable?

The fabric can be dusted with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, spot-clean gently with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, then allow to air-dry completely before re-fitting to the bulb. Do not machine wash or soak the shade.
