Description

This is a right-hand track feed in black plastic, the small connector that sits at the end of a lighting track and brings mains power into it. It measures 12.5cm long, 3.6cm wide and 3.3cm high, and weighs 0.13KG, so it is small and light enough to stay discreet overhead. It has no lamp socket of its own: it is the part that powers the track, while the spotlights you choose carry the light. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms, never outdoors or near water.

A track feed goes wherever an indoor track run begins: a kitchen ceiling, a living room, a hallway, a home office or a dressing room. This is the right-hand version, so it is worth checking that it matches the side your track layout needs. The black finish all but disappears against a black track and draws a crisp, graphic line across a pale ceiling, a look that suits a modern kitchen or a converted loft. Every separate run of track needs its own feed, so count your runs when you plan the layout.

The body is black plastic, a material that never rusts and keeps the feed light in the hand. Like every wired-in mains fitting, it is installed by a qualified electrician. Once it is in place there is nothing to adjust, and a wipe with a soft, dry cloth now and then keeps the black finish looking clean. Our practical tip: pick a black feed for a black track so every part of the run matches, right down to the end.

What material is the feed?

It is plastic in black, a light material that will not rust and blends neatly into a black track run.

Which side does this feed suit?

This is the right-hand version of the feed, so it is worth checking that it matches the side your track layout calls for before you choose it.
