Description

The Olvane is a swan neck wall light in brass and glass. A slim brass arm leaves a round wall plate, sweeps up and over in a smooth curve, then drops to hold a ribbed glass dome shade over a single bulb. It comes in Antique Silver, Antique Brass, Natural Brass, Matt Black, White, Polished Brass and Satin Brass, the two painted finishes being Matt Black RAL 9005 and White RAL 9010. The shade comes in Clear or Opal glass. It is 39cm tall and 30cm wide, and reaches 42cm out from the wall.

Its IP65 rating means the Olvane suits a bathroom as readily as a bedroom, dining room or living room. Over a bathroom mirror or basin it puts light where you need it, and in a bedroom a pair either side of the bed works well. In a dining room or living room, it lights an alcove, a sideboard or a stretch of wall. The swan neck and ribbed dome have a traditional, workmanlike look that sits comfortably in an older house. The antique finishes have an aged character, the brass finishes a warmer gleam, and Matt Black and White a quieter, painted look. Choose Clear or Opal glass to suit the room.

Every Olvane is made to order for you, in Ireland. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 6.5W, and bulbs are sold separately, so you can pick your own. It is a mains fitting, to be wired in by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. One practical note before you order: at 42cm out from the wall, it needs clear space around it, so check it will not crowd a door, a mirror cabinet or a busy corridor.
