Description
The Olivaro is a single-light wall fitting built around a 130mm petal-form shade carved from natural Spanish alabaster, supported on a cylindrical brushed brass arm and circular wall plate. The shade rises from the arm in a tulip silhouette with a softly scalloped rim, and a single E14 lamp inside the cup casts warm light through the translucent stone. Total height is 310mm, giving a compact vertical profile suited to wall positions where a larger fitting would dominate.
Designed for hallways, bedside walls, dressing areas and sitting rooms, the Olivaro works as decorative ambient lighting rather than primary task light. Pairs of Olivaros either side of a bed, a vanity mirror or a fireplace give a balanced wall composition, while a single fitting suits a hallway run or a quiet reading corner. The wall plate fits standard UK back boxes and the E14 lamp is accessed by lifting the alabaster cup from the arm.
The shade is cut from solid alabaster, so each piece shows different veining in warm amber and cream tones, with no two cups identical when lit. The solid copper frame is finished in brushed brass, which softens reflections and warms the metal tone to sit alongside the natural colour of the stone. The combination of a slim 130mm shade, narrow brass arm and shallow round backplate keeps the projection from the wall modest, allowing the fitting to sit in narrower hallways and beside furniture without crowding the space.

Frequently Asked
Does it come with a bulb?
No. The Olivaro takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) lamp, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 2700K and 3000K at 4-6W gives the best light through the alabaster, allowing the natural veining in the stone to show clearly when lit.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
The Olivaro does not carry a stated IP rating in its specification, so it is intended for dry indoor wall positions only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones or other damp locations.
Does the alabaster vary between fittings?
Yes. Each shade is hand-cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ from piece to piece. The variation is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and pairs of Olivaros mounted side by side will show subtly different patterns.
How is the shade cleaned?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but the stone should not be soaked.
