Description

This baby photo album is a gentle home for a little one's first pictures, with Stitch on the front sharing a warm hug with a pink friend beneath the word OHANA, and the words "means family" written underneath. Soft pastel stars and crescent moons drift around the pair, a few of the stars glinting in gold, all on a pale blush pink cover with a matt finish. Fine soft stripes run down the spine edge, and on the back Stitch sits beside a small green doll with an orange bow. The album is square, about 17.6cm tall, 18.8cm wide and 3cm deep, a size that sits easily in the hand and on a shelf.

Inside, the opening page reads "hello world" and gives space to write the baby's name, date of birth, time and place of birth, weight, height, eye colour and hair colour. After those come lines headed my first moments and my first visitors, so the story of the earliest days sits alongside the photographs you add. The inside covers carry faint outlines of Stitch among tiny stars and moons, a quiet backdrop that keeps the attention on the family pictures. It suits a nursery shelf, a bedside table or a drawer of treasured things, and it grows into a keepsake to look back on together as the years go by.

A soft grey and white gingham ribbon threads through the covers and ties in a bow to keep the album closed, then loosens whenever you want to add a picture or a note. The matt covers are best kept dry and dusted with a soft dry cloth, and the album is happiest stored away from damp and strong sunlight. We think it makes a lovely gift tied in a neat bow and handed over as it is, ready for the first details and photographs to be added.
