O2 4 Light Bar Pendant Light - Polished Chrome

The O2 is a 900mm bar pendant light from Mantra that suspends four clear glass shades on individual cables from a polished chrome canopy bar. Each shade is moulded from clear glass with an irregular, organic form that resembles water droplets or air bubbles trapped mid-formation, creating curved indentations and soft ripples across the glass surface. The shades each house a G9 bulb (sold separately) inside a polished chrome conical socket at the top of each pendant drop.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and reception desks with linear proportions, the 900mm bar length distributes four light sources across a 700-900mm run when accounting for the drop spread. The adjustable cable drops range from 300mm minimum to 1500mm maximum, allowing the pendants to be set at different heights for a staggered effect or aligned at the same level for a flat horizontal composition. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the four cables run independently, concealing the wiring within each drop.

The clear glass shades refract light through their uneven surfaces rather than diffusing it, creating patterns of bright and softer zones on surrounding surfaces depending on the bulb type chosen. The organic glass forms soften the geometric bar structure, pairing modern minimalism with natural reference. The polished chrome finish reflects light and colour from the room, making the fitting responsive to its environment rather than purely decorative. What bulbs does it take?

The O2 takes four G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair it with G9 LED bulbs in the 2W-5W range at 2700K-3000K warm white for dining and lounge settings. Maximum wattage depends on bulb type — halogen G9 bulbs typically max at 40W each, while LED G9s run cooler at much lower wattages.

Can the pendants be set at different heights?

Yes. Each of the four cables is independently adjustable from 300mm to 1500mm drop during installation, allowing for a staggered composition or a flat horizontal line depending on preference.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible, but you must use dimmable G9 bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all G9 LED bulbs are dimmable — check the bulb packaging or spec sheet before purchase.

What ceiling fixing is needed for the 7.4kg weight?

The 7.4kg combined weight requires the ceiling plate to be fixed directly to a joist, beam or solid ceiling structure. Plasterboard fixings alone are not sufficient. If the ceiling rose position does not align with a joist, additional bracing or a ceiling spreader plate will be needed.
