Description

The Nut PF/10 is a small outdoor ceiling light with a rounded bell-shaped shade that sits close to the ceiling on a slim round canopy. It is 12.9cm tall overall, with a shade 11.6cm tall and 10cm across; the canopy is 5.1cm across and 1.3cm tall. It is made from stainless steel and aluminium with a textured finish, and comes in Textured White, Textured Graphite Brown, Textured Black, Textured Terracotta, Textured Pebble Grey, Textured Grey Blue, Textured Sand Yellow or Textured Olive Grey. Its integrated LED gives 462 lumens of warm 2700K light from 6.3W, with a CRI of 90, so colours look true and there is never a bulb to change.

Rated IP54, it is made for outdoor use, so it suits a porch ceiling, a covered terrace, a veranda or the underside of a balcony, where a compact light keeps an entrance or a step lit after dark. Its small size means it works well in a run of two or three along a walkway or over a doorway, with the light falling straight down where you need it. The choice of finishes lets you match it to render, woodwork or window frames: Textured White and Textured Pebble Grey sit quietly against pale walls, while Textured Black and Textured Graphite Brown suit dark frames and timber.

Behind the textured finish, the body is stainless steel and aluminium, and a white diffuser closes the open end of the shade to soften the LED. The design is by Estudi Manel Molina. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician; it is TRIAC dimmable, so it needs a compatible dimmer if you want to turn it down. With no bulb to change and an IP54 rating, it is an outdoor ceiling light you can fit once and leave to light the way home every evening. Our photographs show the textured graphite brown version.
