Description

The Nut B/90 is an LED bollard light with a bell-shaped head set to one side at the top of a slim square post, throwing its light down onto the ground around it. It stands 90cm tall above the ground, with a 12cm anchor that sits below ground. The head is 10cm across, and the light has a projection of 17.5cm and a length of 11.6cm. Inside is an integrated LED of 6.3W giving 374 lumens of warm 2700K light, so there is no bulb to buy or change. With a CRI of 90, planting, stone and paving keep their natural colours after dark.

We like it lining a garden path, marking the edge of a lawn or a border, or lighting the way from a gate to the front door. It is rated IP65 and made for outdoor use, so it can stand out in the garden among grasses, shrubs and planting. At 90cm it is tall enough to light a path without towering over the beds around it, and a run of them spaced along a drive or terrace gives a line of warm light. It is dimmable with a compatible TRIAC dimmer, so you can keep the glow soft for evenings outside or turn it up when guests arrive.

The bollard is made from stainless steel, aluminium and PA12, in a Textured Black finish that sits quietly among planting by day and lets the warm light do the work at night. The design is by Estudi Manel Molina, and we like how little it asks of a garden: one slim post, one bell-shaped head. It runs on 230V mains and is a Class II fitting. On the practical side, it is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, and the 12cm anchor below ground is worth bearing in mind when you plan where each one will stand.
