Description

The NU-X Zeus NIP-Z10 is an isolated power supply built specifically for guitar pedals and audio effect circuits. Good guitar sound starts with the power source, and standard 9Vdc adaptors often release unwanted noise into the signal chain. Unstable power can also affect how some boutique pedals run, and in some cases their life expectancy. Zeus is designed to give each pedal clean, stable power so your rig performs the way it should.

There are 10 outputs in total: six fully isolated 9V outlets, three switchable 9/12/18V outlets and one variable 6-12V outlet, all on DC5521 jacks. A separate USB Type-A outlet supplies 1.5A for charging or powering USB devices. The low noise circuitry and high current capacity mean you can run a full pedalboard, including multi-effect units, without the hum or dropouts that come from underpowered or shared supplies. Fully isolated outputs keep each pedal on its own clean feed, so there is no crosstalk between them.

The unit is lightweight at 658g and measures 195 x 101 x 42mm, so it fits neatly on or under most pedalboards. It runs from a universal 100-240Vac mains input via an IEC connector (mains lead/power cord), which suits use at home or on tour. In the box you get a 2-outlet combiner lead with a 2.5mm DC plug for higher power units, plus a set of DC link cables to handle most pedal input types. It is a straightforward, reliable way to power a board of any size.

Frequently Asked

How many pedals can the Zeus power?

It has 10 outputs: six isolated 9V, three switchable 9/12/18V and one variable 6-12V outlet, plus a USB Type-A outlet. That is enough to run a full board, including multi-effect units.

Are the outputs fully isolated?

The six 9V outlets are fully isolated, which keeps each pedal on its own clean feed and prevents crosstalk or noise passing between pedals.

What connector do the outputs use?

All 10 DC outlets use DC5521 jacks. A range of DC link cables is supplied to suit most pedal input types, along with a 2-outlet combiner lead with a 2.5mm DC plug for higher power units.

Can I use it outside the UK?

Yes. It accepts 100-240Vac at 50/60Hz through an IEC mains input, so it works on mains voltages worldwide with the correct lead.

Does it have a USB output?

Yes, there is a Type-A USB outlet supplying 1.5A, useful for charging or powering USB devices on your board.

How big and heavy is it?

It measures 195 x 101 x 42mm and weighs 658g, so it fits easily on or under most pedalboards.
