The Nosmena is a glass pendant light with a rounded, cushion-shaped shade in sandy etched glass, set beneath a small dome cap and a round ceiling canopy in taupe steel. It hangs on a slim black cord and measures 110cm in overall height, with a shade 18.5cm in diameter, so it reads as a compact pendant rather than a large centrepiece. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of brightness and tone of white to you. The IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms.

Its modest diameter makes it a good fit where a big shade would crowd the space: hung low over a dining table, beside a bed in place of a bedside lamp, or in a row of two or three above a kitchen island or breakfast bar. The sandy glass and taupe metal sit comfortably with warm neutrals, natural wood, linen and cream painted furniture, and the soft, rounded shape keeps the look calm.
