The Nordica is a 900mm flush ceiling light with an ivory white fabric shade wrapped around an opal white acrylic diffuser, housing an integrated 60W 3000K LED that delivers 4200 lumens. The circular drum shade sits 200mm deep against the ceiling, creating soft ambient light through the twin-layer shade structure.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and main bedrooms where overhead ambient light is needed without pendant drop, the Nordica suits ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The flush mounting keeps the light close to the ceiling, making it suitable for low-ceiling rooms where a pendant would obstruct movement or sightlines. The 900mm diameter provides coverage for rooms up to 20-25 square metres, though multiple fittings may be needed for larger open-plan spaces.

The ivory white fabric shade has a natural linen-like texture that softens the light output and adds visual warmth to the fitting. Is the Nordica dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed 60W output on 220-240V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The light level is set at 4200 lumens, which is comparable to a 300W halogen or incandescent bulb.

The 900mm diameter and 4200-lumen output cover rooms up to approximately 20-25 square metres as primary ambient lighting. Larger open-plan spaces may benefit from multiple fittings or supplementary task lighting.

How is the shade cleaned?

The ivory white fabric shade can be dusted with a soft brush or vacuumed on a low setting using an upholstery attachment. For marks, a barely-damp microfibre cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric or using household sprays.

Does the 11.5kg weight require special ceiling fixings?

Yes. The fitting must be mounted to a ceiling joist or solid structure capable of supporting the weight. Standard plasterboard fixings are not adequate — the installer should locate a joist or use a spreader plate between joists to distribute the load.
