Description

The Nit/80/R is a low round table with its own light, in the Stone Top & Brown Synthetic Fibre finish. Its flat top is 80cm across and sits over a gently tapered drum of woven brown cords on small feet; it stands 42cm tall, and the woven base is 72cm across. A light ring 17cm across is set in the centre of the top, and light also glows through the cords onto the ground beneath. The integrated LED needs no bulb: at 3W it gives 133 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so food, drink and faces look natural.

Rated IP44 and made for outdoor use, it belongs on a terrace, a patio or out in the garden, holding drinks and a book while it lights the space at low level. Because it runs on a rechargeable battery, you can move it to wherever the evening is spent, well away from the house. Indoors it makes a coffee table for the living room or a low table beside a bed, giving a soft glow for winding down. It suits anyone who would rather have one piece doing the work of a table and a lamp.

It is made from aluminium, HPL and synthetic fibre / nautical cord, with the cord woven round the base so the light shows through it in fine lines. The design is by Gonzalo Milà. It runs at 5V DC as a Class III fitting and is powered by its rechargeable battery, charged by USB-C, so there is nothing to wire in and no cable to trip over once it is charged. Give it a charge during the day and it is ready for the evening, whether that is a meal outside or a quiet hour on the terrace.
