Description
A coffee table with a tray top in reclaimed wood on a dark iron frame. The top is a field of boards laid side by side, held inside a raised lip that runs round all four edges, and the inner face of that lip carries a close carved comb pattern cut by hand. The frame is square section iron in four legs, with a low rail joining the two legs at each end, and the wood sits on it as a tray rather than being let into it.
The table stands 45cm tall, 120cm wide and 65cm deep, which puts the top at about the seat height of a sofa and leaves room for two people to put things down on either side of the middle. The raised lip stops cups, remote controls and papers sliding off the edge, though it also means a tray laid on the top will sit inside the rim rather than flat across it.
The top is reclaimed ceiling timber, so each board carries the grain, the tonal shifts and the marks of what it was before, and no two tables are alike. The frame is hand forged iron, finished dark and close to black against the pale wood. The Nisha range also runs to a console table and a pair of nesting side tables.

Frequently Asked
How big is the table?
120cm wide, 65cm deep and 45cm tall.
Does the top have a raised edge?
Yes, on all four sides, with a carved border cut into the inner face of it.
Is the wood new?
No. The top is reclaimed ceiling timber, so the grain, the colour and the old marks in it differ from board to board and from table to table.
What is the frame made from?
Hand forged iron.
How heavy is it?
23.3kg.
How do I look after it?
The surface is sealed. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth to lift dust and moisture, and use mild soap and water sparingly for anything more, always working along the grain. Keep harsh chemicals and abrasives away from it, stand wet items on a mat or a coaster, and deal with spills at once. Strong direct sunlight will fade the wood, and sharp changes of heat or humidity can make it crack or split.
