Description

The Ninfea is a two-light wall fitting whose glow passes through a pair of acid-etched opal glass discs, so what reaches the room is soft and diffuse rather than a hard point. The two rounded plates sit at slightly different sizes on a small round white base, overlapping as they stand off the wall, and each holds a single G9 lamp behind the glass. The effect is a gentle wash across the surface it sits on, warm and low in glare.

At 250mm wide and 210mm tall it projects 125mm from the wall, a compact size that suits a spot beside a bed, either side of a mirror or along a hallway where a flush point would feel bare. Lit, the two discs read as soft rounds of light; off, they hold as plain opal shapes on a white plate.

We supply it ready to use: two G9 bulbs are included, so nothing extra is bought to get light on the first evening. The base is white powder-coated metal and the diffusers are acid-etched blown glass, each disc carrying a lamp of up to 4W. It runs on a standard switch without dimming and carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor rooms.

What kind of light does the Ninfea give?

A soft, diffused glow rather than a sharp beam. Each of the two lamps sits behind an acid-etched opal glass disc, so the light spreads gently across the wall and reads as two quiet rounds beside a bed or mirror.

Does it need bulbs, or are they supplied?

Two G9 bulbs are included, so it lights on the first evening with nothing else to buy. Each disc takes a G9 lamp of up to 4W, and the pair can be swapped later if a warmer or brighter tone is wanted.

Can it be dimmed?

The fitting itself wires to a standard switch and does not dim on its own. Because it takes separate G9 bulbs, dimming depends on fitting dimmable G9 lamps on a compatible circuit.

How big is it and where does it suit?

It measures 250mm wide by 210mm tall and stands 125mm off the wall. That compact size fits beside a bed, on either side of a mirror or along a hallway where a soft point of light is wanted.
