Description
The Ninfea is a small, softly rounded table lamp that gives a warm, diffused glow rather than a direct beam. Light passes through an acid-etched opal glass shade, so what reaches the room is gentle and low in glare, spreading across a bedside or side table as a quiet pool. The rounded plate sits low on a compact round base, and lit it reads as a soft glowing disc; unlit it holds as a plain opal shape on satin brass.
At 200mm across and standing just 93mm tall, it is a low, small piece that suits a bedside table, a shelf or a console where a full-height lamp would feel heavy. The diffuse light and modest footprint make it a companion light beside a bed or a reading chair rather than the main source in a room.
We supply it ready to use: a GX53 bulb is included, with a PVC cable, an in-line switch and a plug, so it lights on the first evening with nothing else to buy. The base is satin brass plated metal and the diffuser is acid-etched blown glass, taking one GX53 lamp of up to 15W. It runs on its switch without dimming and carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor rooms.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Ninfea give?
A soft, diffused glow rather than a sharp beam. The GX53 lamp sits behind an acid-etched opal glass shade, so light spreads gently across a bedside or side table and reads as a quiet round rather than a hard point.
Does it need a bulb, or is one supplied?
A GX53 bulb is included, along with a PVC cable, an in-line switch and a plug, so nothing extra is bought to get light on the first evening. The lamp takes a GX53 fitting of up to 15W, so it can be swapped later for a warmer or brighter tone.
Can it be dimmed?
The lamp itself is not dimmable and runs from its in-line switch. Because it uses a separate GX53 bulb, dimming depends on fitting a dimmable GX53 lamp on a compatible circuit.
How big is it and where does it suit?
It measures 200mm across and only 93mm tall, a low and compact size. That footprint suits a bedside table, a shelf or a console as a soft companion light rather than the main source in a room.
