Description

The Ninarne floor lamp is a tall, open frame of black steel with a square footprint and a brown wooden shelf near the top that carries a single bulb holder. It stands 128.5cm tall and measures 18cm long and 18cm wide, so it takes very little floor space for its height. The holder takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W. The bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of light entirely yours. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room, away from bathrooms and the garden.

Because the frame is slim and open, it suits the corners and narrow gaps that defeat a bulkier lamp: beside a sofa, at the end of a sideboard, next to a reading chair or in a bedroom alcove. The black steel and warm wood sit happily in industrial, Scandinavian or mid-century rooms. The bulb stays on show within the top section of the frame, so a decorative filament bulb becomes part of the look. For a living room, a hallway or a study, it brings light without the visual weight of a shade.
